Brainstorm - Scary Creatures album cover

Now standing proudly and in holding of a new attitude, an old recipe that recalls their early days in the 90's, the quintet BRAINSTORM are back with full impact and a brand new melodic focus packaged in a new found constancy, and in a barely ever seen determination... The new hot CD titled "Scary Creatures" will be out in streets and on the shelves in January 15th 2016 through the great label AFM Records...

The whole community of Metalheads, Heavy Maniacs/Hellrats and Headbanger Freaks all around the planet, will surely be in Metallic Heaven with such a rewarding collection of Euro Power Metal cuts with attractive groovy tempos and anthemic hooks, all are destined to become live favorite classics ("How Much Can You Take"/"Twisted Ways")... Crafted around sharp edges with obvious connections rooted in the 80's Classic Heavy Metal spiced with some colors borrowed to the early Thrash Metal riffage... The charismatic lead singer/Frontman Andy B. Franck (ex SYMPHORCE/ex IVANHOE) is on his best voice shape ever, he performs with ease some first class Heavy Metal Operatic-Airraid siren vocals ("Scars In Your Eyes") more than ever similar and comparable to the legendary Bruce Dickinson's heritage!

This new masterpiece is everything about BRAINSTORM is known and loved for, mixing the majestic of an updated NWOBHM method and the subtlety (inherited by early SAVATAGE or VICIOUS RUMORS) with the more straight ahead Germanic thunderous Heavy efficiency ("Take Me To The Never" with gang backing-vocals) and a few American elements based upon sharp guitars and double kick drums frenzy... Like the best of both world!

The production was handled brilliantly by famous, experienced engineer Achim Koehler (from the glorious PRIMAL FEAR/SINNER fame),the man who gave the classic polished sound to "Liquid Monster" and "Soul Temptation", he had finally returned behind the mixing desk to offer his magic...If you could state that sonically "Scary Creatures" seems to be the logical successor to 2014's "Firesoul", I wasn't totally convinced by the whole thing back then, This recommended "Scary Creatures" to me reflects a step in the right direction, and perhaps confirm a new exciting dimension and it symbolize perfectly some new promising bridges for the BRAINSTORM era 2016, its past legacy with a revamped wind of energetic force!

Starting with the infectious opening track "The World We See" (which will also be the album's first single and video clip) that will set the mood for the rest of the playing session, the refined BRAINSTORM once again prove why they are considered as one of the most respected metal bands in the European scene... A fan favorite act reputed for its ability to make a consensus in any Festival stages environment...The 2014 show from Essen in Germany - where the band performed the entire "Firesoul" album plus their biggest hits - is now part of the "Scary Creatures" limited edition boxset with this bonus DVD.

A new jewel of an unique blend, an amazing Melodic Power Metal slice from BRAINSTORM: once again decoding the equation that lead to discover the missing link between the Old and new School of Germanic Steel enhanced with many additional unexpected flavors (like the nostalgic/romantic children choir in "We Are")!

The fresh "Scary Creatures" is a very emotional, and an incredibly intense CD... Well, finally it turned out to become an impressive metal manifesto...And the first highlight of the year...Another good positive sign for another flood of great music for 2016!
