Astriaal is a Black Metal band from Australia, which started back in 1998. After a lot of demo CDs and mini CDs the band finally released their debut album Renascent misanthropy in 2003. But the release was only distributed out to Australia's record stores. In 2004 the band signed with the Aftermath Music label and this release will be available worldwide.
The debut track of The Funeral Procession is an intro and prepares us for total declaretion of war against Christianity and humanity. By the way, this intro is composed by Tharen (Dargaard and x-Abigor). After the intro comes Ritual Hate Construct
and hell breaks free from the gates of eternal evil. Killer, fast ,misanthropic Black Metal from the depths of hell!!! Astriaal managed to create a pure Black Metal album with lots of great riffs (some of them follow the classic form and some the new forms of the scene) combined with perfectly fast drums and of course very nice vocals. This CD reminds me a lot of the Kill For Satan (1999) album from Tsjuder. This album contains a lot of samples of melody and aggresive feelings. All the songs are in the highest level and it's very hard to point out a highlight of this album. I think that Astriaal's Renascent Misanthropy is a quite good album.
