Echoes In Eternity
Armagedda

We do not perform Black Metal anymore, we do not want to be associated with the Black Metal scene of today nor yesterday. How people see our tunes from the outside doesn't matter, we are what we are and not what you think. We are not a Black Metal band anymore and we will never be again. Black Metal has been infected with unserious people who abuse its (un)holy essence and that is not what we stand for. Therefore we will get as far away from this shit as possible. All is said, enough! Consider this to be 100% official.
What you read above is the band's latest official statement. This shows that ARMAGEDDA will no longer rehearse, release a studio album or play live. This is probably the band's latest offering, a best of compilation with rare, live and unreleased tracks that will probably feed your blasphemous and antichristian hunger. Even though ARMAGEDDA lived for only four years (2000-2004), they have managed to release numerous demos, split CD's, EP's and studio albums.
The two main members (Graav & A) seem to prefer the raw and cold side of Black Metal, the side that bands like MAYHEM, BURZUM and SATYRICON first created. Their totally old school approach to Black Metal is what makes them belong to what many blacksters call, the true scene. What some of you may find interesting is that E. Danielsson (WATAIN) has been a session drummer for the band.
Anyway, in my humble opinion, such a release is not necessary; since I doubt that ARMAGEDDA has so many fans that this CD is necessary. Probably every single fan will have most of their releases and to be honest, an underground Black Metal band that lived for only four years won't have many followers. The music is nice - not something amazing though - but it is only classic raw Black Metal with less than decent production. Even the covers are not something that will attract your attention.
To tell you the truth, I think that such a release is meaningless and I surely wouldn't spend my money to buy it. Why waste your money on an unknown (at least to me) band's best of compilation? Anyway, the choice is yours...
