"Wild Beast Show" is the sixth album from Moscow's melodic power metal band, ARIDA VORTEX, featuring twelve tracks and a sixteen-page booklet. Fans of SONATA ARTICA, THUNDERSTONE, and PRIMAL FEAR will appreciate ARIDA VORTEX.

Alright, so let's get to it, shall we? Whenever I listen to Power Metal, I just automatically feel like I should be the Queen on the Iron Throne with three dragon babies. It is just so damn epic. So, here we have "Wild Beast Show", which makes me just that! It starts off with an ominous, folky bagpipe ballad called, "Escaping From Hell," accompanied by marching drums and other neat effects that get your heart racing and prepared for the battle to come. The next track, "Ghost Rider", hits you in the face with heavy pounding slams and mind-blowing solos. "Dance Of The Walking Dead" is a slower, heavier tempo with guitar squeals that replicate a more traditional Metal composition. Nonetheless, it gets your head banging, foot tapping, and horns in the air. That's all that matters, right?

"Ton Of Metal" opens with a groovy, pulsating bass lines, which caught me off guard, and for a quick second, I thought I was listening to DEVIN TOWNSEND with those galloping, upbeat rhythms. "Higher" is an interesting track and I think one of my favorites on this album because it is unique. It has sci-fi like effects at first, which adds an interesting spin in the Power Metal world, but the rest of the song is extremely melodic with vocals that are on point. The vocals remind me of those from DREAM EVIL. I enjoyed this track along with "The World is Ours". Those opening riffs are crafted beautifully along that tempo. Absolute perfection!

Overall, "Wild Beast Show" is a pretty good album and I would definitely recommend that you add it to your power metal collection. It is great piece of work with respect to their past work but "Wild Beast Show" gives a new, innovative, fresh spin on what ARIDA VORTEX can accomplish.<
