Anti-Flag - American Spring album cover

26th May supposed to be the middle of the spring, but it's a day when the "Amercian Spring" has begun. It's the 9th album of ANTI-FLAG, Pittsburgh old punks, legends and activists. Those who never heard about them; these people have been associated with organisations like Greenpeace and Amnesty International. But they're mostly known thanks too their anti-goverment, anti-war and anti-corporation message. So watch out, we've got rebels over here.

Spring might be associated with freshness. Well, looks like the American one is more like Autumn. Not fresh at all. I exactly knew what and when will happen in every song. There were no moments when I was feeling surprised or at least intrigued. They are just schematic; Just like produced by machine programmed to make circa three minutes long tracks. Pretty old machine. We heard albums like that back in the 90's. Well, even they have made albums like that back in the 90's. At least these 90's albums had some flavour. Here we have reheated pork chop without any seasoning, served together with French fries made in spent oil  (my primary school dinner memories came back, ugh...). I just cannot digest that. Comparing with their earliest albums, band lost most of their power. In the moment when they highlight, that their main goal is to spread their outlook conceptions... well, looks like they didn't manage to do that.

I'm being critcal, because evey song is made of old cheap patterns with can be heard In almost every other Pop Punk band. Any "ohh-ooohh" choirs won't change that (quite the oposite). I could complain and complain, but it's most objective opinion I could write. People may find this enjoyable, but this is typical Pop-Punk just for kids. They'll grow up after all. (didn't mean to be a douche). I am not impressed.
