Antediluvian Dreamscapes
Ante-Inferno
Metal maniacs, rejoice! I am proud to present to you: ANTE-INFERNO; signed via Vendetta Records, hailing from England - performing Black Metal, on their sophomoric full-length studio album entitled: "Antediluvian Dreamscapes" (released May 13th, 2022). Since formation in 2017; the duo in question have a demo entitled: "A Dream Of The Devil" (released September 3rd, 2017) and 2 full-length studio albums in their discography so far entitled: "Fane" (released May 1st, 2020), on top of this here 2nd deliverance of which I am introduced to... "Antediluvian Dreamscapes". 7 tracks ranging around 42:25; ANTE-INFERNO arranges an intricately designed formula on some heavy-hitting Black Metal developments.
Opening up with this ominously jarring thunderstorm of soundscape trepidation; this majestic whirlwind and acoustic harmony conjures up this somewhat melancholic "Lullaby To A Dying World", a haralding wolf yells for a saviour - until the stampeding ramification of "Transcendence" belts a clobbering foundation in rawly rough melody. A bulldozing barrage frenzy manifests with symbolic rifts of riffing pursuit; rollicking remedy trembles speakers with reverberating rumbles, sonically seamless rips & shredding magnificence. As K.B. on vocals roars with tight throatiness on raspy gutturals, grumbling grunts and bellowing blasphemy. His dexterously dynamic guitar hooks grind concretely, as gritty strums mount with towering substance & monstrously meaty punchiness. Monolithic tempo soars with slaying vehemence, where lacerating flickers in bass audibility thump out with vibrantly potent synergy - which profusely scours surge with strident snares & quaking robustness.
"Celestial Mirage" articulates an archaic conundrum in flexibly fundamental archetypes of stompy volatility; where battering drummer G.S. hammers his set with steely precision, this virtuosic bombardment harnesses a fierce firepower expertise in rambunctiously piledriving bashfulness - on top of a crunchy complexity which surges with tremolo crescendos and experimental savagery which distils a chiseling but sulphurous solidity on slabby momentum. An extreme synthesis utilises versatile thuds on sturdy but bludgeoning craftsmanship ability, attributing galloping frolics and cavernous mobility - where this tormenting rage tremors with tenoring aggression and impactfully impulsing speed of viciously visceral pandemonium on weighty maelstrom stability. Synergetic wrath oppressively abuses instruments with vigorous rigour, until an electrifying interlude within "Shadowed Waters" mythically reprieves one from hasty artillery before another 10 minute, slow but dark hymn intrudes within "Two Score And Ten Souls".
Blackened atmosphere ambiently amplifies a rampantly rompy spectrum on spectral yet other-worldly calamity, injecting an infectiously venomous shriek while smothering systematics blitzkrieg for good measure - uproariously salubrious distortion elements an enriching implementation of radically wicked yet riveting strife of technical prowess, which relentlessly enforces a rapidly nimble swiftness while merging a desolate but somber retribution that unearths some doomy descegration that will make you marvel with an intensely captivating listen. The penultimate banger "Beyond The Immemorial Veil" morphs more transformative patterns on transitional ruthlessness, as a groove-bomb blast of might materialises with trailblazing intensity and drilling immensity. The vocals continue belligerently unleashing pugnacious yells on shouty tribulation, as agony inducing anguish grandeurs an inferno in hellish chaos which pretty much describes "Antediluvian Dreamscapes" best.
Overall concluding "Antediluvian Dreamscapes" with the finale epic "Nightmares of the Eschaton"; a unique opening of guitar entrancement differentiates the record with choppy grips and catchy chunkiness, which intrigues ear holes with variety ridden mayhem. An interesting conclusion for Black Metal while I'm compelled to say that ANTE-INFERNO certainly outdone themselves with this one, Doing Black Metal supreme justice - this record was refreshing and impressive to say the least. An enjoyably spellbinding ritual of satanic artillery deserves a good few listens, worthy of spinning & replaying a good few times - where most metal maniacs of this subgenre will want to experience for sure. Most definitely do check it out!
