Profound Lore Records has issued the following update:

Profound Lore Records and YAKUZA are proud to announce a special concert taking place on Sunday, August 1st 2010 at the 'Wicker Park Music Festival' in Chicago, IL. The YAKUZA ARKESTRA will perform selections from their latest critically acclaimed recording Of Seismic Consequence with an expanded lineup featuring saxophonists Ken Vandermark, Mars Williams and Dave Rempis along with Cellist Alison Chesley (aka Helen Money) and vocalist Kelly Lamont.

Frontman Bruce Lamont explains: "When asked to take part in the 'Wicker Park Music Fest' we wanted to do something special. Immediately we wanted to include Alison and Kelly since they had contributed to the record and also wanting to have a powerhouse saxophone section especially for passages like in "Farewell To The Flesh" (song from SEISMIC). Ken, Mars and Dave were at the top of the list. We have such respect for all the musicians that have agreed to take part and are humbled by their willingness to. Performing together with these great musical minds on one stage will truly be an epic event."

YAKUZA ARKESTRA are scheduled to play at 6pm on Sunday, August 1st 2010 on the North Stage (located at the corner of North, Milwaukee and Damen ave) in Chicago; BARONESS, TORCHE, CAP' N JAZZ, MISSION TO BURMA, INDIAN, HOLY FUCK and LOCAL H are also scheduled that weekend.
