The Resistance will definitely be one of the extreme metal bands of 2013.

With In Flames' founding member (and main songwriter until his departure in 2010) Jesper Strömblad, together with another ex member of In Flames, Glenn Ljungström, vocalist Marco Aro (ex-The Haunted, Facedown) and drummer Chris Barkensjö (ex-Kaamos, ex-Grave), the band members' "CV" is as heavy as the sound of their new musical adventure.

The Resistance is not a super-group, or a side project. It is a band, it's a gang, embracing the musical attitude and sounds of Swedish old school death metal and the old "no compromise" values of hardcore.

The band is ready to make its great entrance in the world of extreme metal with the teaser release of "Rise From Treason" - a 4 tracks EP on January 25[sup]th[/sup], 2013. This single shall also be used for promotion, to wake up the In Flames and The Haunted fanbase and inform everyone about a brand new blustering band.

The 4 guys are currently in the studio finishing their first full length album with a tentative release plan for April 2013. Shredding guitar riffs, blasting beats and screaming out a lot of anger, The Resistance will take no prisoners and make no compromises with their old school death-metal.
