Itallian Metallers Tethra To Stream 'Closed Doors' Full Show On Facebook On June 8th To Support Genre And Highlight Issue Of Venues Closing.
Italian metal act Tethra are passionate about emerging artists and they are on a mission to increase the numbers of people that attend smaller, club sized venues in not just Italy, but on a worldwide scale, stating:
"In recent years, many small and medium-sized clubs dedicated to metal music have closed or changed their genre because of the low attendance at the concerts.
It's a global phenomenon that, if it does not have a clear turnabout, will oblige all industry employees to make drastic decisions."
So, Tethra, would like to raise awareness amongst all fans of this genre about this topic, assuming a catastrophic scenario for the next future: what will happen when the last live club will also close? Will emerging bands play no more or will they totally rely on live streaming from rehearsal studios and improvised venues?
For this reason, on Thursday 8th June at 10pm (Italian time) and 9pm (UK), Tethra will play a full set live streaming show in a real live venue open just for them, furthermore, to give everyone the opportunity to participate in this event, they will keep the video online for 24 hours.

This is Tethra's contribution to the cause, hoping to be able to induce a reflection before this catastrophic scenario becomes a reality because on June 8th they will create a paradox that more than one band has had to endure in its career: playing in an empty room ... will you be with Tethra?
ethra's full-length album, "Like Crows for The Earth", which was recorded and mixed by Matt Stancioiu (Labyrinth) at Elnor Studios and mastered by Greg Chandles (Esoteric) at Priory Studios. reveals how much the band has evolved sonically since their 2013 album, "Drown into the Sea of Life". The album was released in Europe on February 11th via Sliptrick Records, with a US release in the pipelines on July 23rd.
Tethra produces elements such as acoustic breaks, striking solos and Doom-influenced melodies are mixed with charismatic vocals courtesy of the versatile frontman Clode Tethra. Blending gloomy Doom Metal, raging Death Metal and melodic early 90s Gothic Metal tinged vocals, Tethra will be the last nail on your cross.
Between 2011 and 2012, Tethra's reputation grew, earning them spots in supporting the likes of Sepultura, Daylight Dies, Saturnus, Forgotten Tomb, Sadist, The Foreshadowing, Jackfrost and performing at Malta Doom Fest. In 2013, the Italians released their debut album, "Drown into the Sea of Life", a concept album where the theme was focused on water.
Their new album 'Like Crows For The Earth' has received positive press:
"Tethra created a varied, juicy piece of work in Like Crows for the Earth. Keeping to their influences, the band composed a unique piece of metal that vacillates between its doom-ish and gothic origins and some very strong progressive undercurrents." - Rock Music Raider
"Tethra are great sounding melancholic mixture of doom and death metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band." - Doomed To Darkness
""Like Crows for the Earth" contains that 90's-oriented doom/death texture that brought many UK and European bands to international acclaim, and hopefully will put Tethra in good standing with followers of this genre." - Dead Rhetoric
"Fusing elements of doom and gothic metal with just a hint of progressive,Tethra is heady, dark stuff. Intense and often soaked with emotion thanks primarily to lead singer Clode Tethra, Like Crows for the Earth will worm its way into your thoughts and stick there" ' The Burning Beard
"Considering this is rooted in doom and death, this is a joy to listen to, as it is surprisingly diverse, melodic and positive for this genre. 'Like Crows For The Earth' highlights that Tethra aren't afraid to think outside of the box, and for their efforts they should be more widely accepted, as this is more accessible than most doom/death metal offerings, giving it the edge." ' Dark Art Conspiracy
"Like Crows For The Earth" is a very respectable album that has little to envy to other releases of the genre. We can only wish for the Tethra to continue on this road." ' aristocraziawebzine
