Venezuelan-American progressive metal outfit SIFTING have released a very emotional video for their new single 'Nothing But Us'. The video deals with challenging social issues such as bullying and rejection, by showing that it's okay to be yourself, no matter what society expects of you.
The video was directed by Alejandro Fumero Gil. "Sometimes, we feel like we may not fit in, or that we are pushed to be something or someone other than who we are" says vocalist Eduardo Gil. "It's easy to get so wrapped up in pleasing our friends, families, and co-workers, that we actually forget who we are. How can we enjoy life if we aren't true to ourselves? We wrote this song about these feelings, to remind people that being different and unique is what makes life exciting. Without individuality, the world would be a very boring place. Our message to everyone is to find yourself and follow your heart. Only you know what that is! once you figure that out, go and take it!"
