One of the biggest heavy metal bands from Brazil, SHAMAN is about to start shooting a new video clip.
Currently formed by Ricardo Confessori (Drums - Angra), Thiago Bianchi (Vocals), Fernando Quesada (Bass), Leo Mancini (Guitars) and the new keyboardist Juninho Carelli, the band embarked yesterday to New York City, United States, where they will shoot the first scenes for the new video of "Nocturnal Human Side", unreleased song that will appear on the band's upcoming new album expected to be released early 2013.
The video will be once again produced by the experienced Brazilian director Alex Baptista, with whom SHAMAN had already worked on the videos for "Finally Home" and "Ego Pt 1 e Pt 2", both from the band's latest studio album, Origins (2010). Thiago Bianchi and Juninho Carelli will also take care of production and screenplay.
The video of "Nocturnal Human Side" will count with the special participation of none other than Russell Allen, vocalist of Symphony X and Adrenaline Mob.
"We first met Russell on the road, Shaman and Symphony X shared the stage in some occasions", said the vocalist Thiago Bianchi. "There is a mutual admiration between the two bands, especially on our side, and during a casual backstage chat, we had the idea to do something together. When we decided to release a video for the song "Nocturnal Human Side", it became clear that it was the right time to make it happen. We invited Russell and he said yes at the same time. And it was his idea indeed to have us shooting the video in NYC! This is one more great chapter in our career and we are very happy with that."
The musicians will stay for 10 days in New York and will keep a daily updated diary on the band's 'fan page' on Facebook with several backstage informations, photos and videos.
The "Nocturnal Human Side" video will be launched in September.
Among other news, SHAMAN just signed a new worldwide exclusively deal with the Brazilian company Som do Darma Produção e Comunicação em Cultura that from now on will take care of all press relations and promotion of the band.
