'Roadburn Festival' is excited to report that BLOOD CEREMONY and GHOST have been confirmed for Thursday, April 14th, 2011. Both BLOOD CEREMONY and GHOST's 'Roadburn' appearance will be part of their upcoming 2011 European tour.
Devoted to celebrating all aspects of cinematic Eurotrash, Sixties saturnalia and occult miscellanea, BLOOD CEREMONY's band name was inspired by the 1972 Spanish horror flick "Ceremonia Sangrienta". This adaptation of the Elizabeth Bathory legend is heavy on atmosphere and dread, with stunning visuals and a bleak ending.BLOOD CEREMONY's doomy vibes conjure up the very same imagery, embodying heavy riffs, paranoia-inducing trills and 70s fills.
Delivering litanies of sexually pulsating and satanic rock glorifying and glamorizing the perverted and profane, Sweden's GHOST is a devil worshiping ministry currently making black, oppressive waves in the underground.
In other related news, PLACE OF SKULLS, SOILENT GREEN, ALCESTand IN SOLITUDE have just been confirmed for 'Roadburn Festival 2011'.
