Miami, Florida's BLACK TIDE will release its self-titled sophomore album in February. The follow-up to 2008's "Light From Above" (Interscope)was recorded at Spin Studios in New York with producers Garth "GGGarth" Richardson (RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, MUDVAYNE) and Josh Wilbur (LAMB OF GOD, AVENGED SEVENFOLD).

Regarding the band's decision to make the new CD a self-titled affair, singer Gabriel Garcia told the Artisan News Service: "We had a couple of names we were thinking about, but we just feel like it's a new thing. I don't wanna say that we're a completely new band, 'cause we still have that "Light From Above" edge, but we just feel like we're starting fresh; we still feel that way. Like we're starting out."
