San Francisco Bay Area gore legend, AUTOPSY, is proud to announce the release of "The Tomb Within" EP, the first collection of newly recorded tracks in over a decade from the influential Death Metal band, out today on Peaceville Records.

The highly anticipated, "The Tomb Within", was recorded in mid-July 2010 at Fantasy Studios with Adam Munoz, and unites the original trio of Chris Reifert, Danny Coralles, and Eric Cutler, joined on bass by Joe Trevisano (ex-ABSCESS). Cover art (see it below) is supplied by renowned fantasy/horror artist, Matt Cavotta.

The track list for "The Tomb Within" is:

  • "The Tomb Within"
  • "My Corpse Shall Rise"
  • "Seven Skulls"
  • "Human Genocide"
  • "Mutant Village"

Both the CD and 12" vinyl edition of "The Tomb Within" can be purchased now at the Peaceville webstore. The vinyl edition comes with a free poster of the stunning cover artwork, and is limited to just 1,000 numbered copies. It can purchased online here, while the CD edition can be ordered here.

The EP's title track is currently streaming on the album's mini-sit here. Along with the song stream, the mini-site also features audio samples of each of the EP's four other gut-wrenching tracks, as well as an in studio, behind-the-scenes video trailer, offering fans a glimpse at the creative process of AUTOPSY's latest musical bloodbath. AUTOPSY decided to make an official comeback after working together on two songs for the special 20th anniversary edition of their debut album, "Severed Survival", in late 2008. The band had originally decided to split before the release of their 4th album, "Shitfun", in 1995.
