APOCALYPSE: Launches Interactive Music Video In 360 Degrees
June 10, 2014
Apocalypse is one of the biggest Brazilian progressive rock bands. They are for 30 years on the road, have an extensive discography and concerts in various regions of the country and also abroad.
As part of the celebrations of its 30th anniversary, the group once again surprises by launching an interactive video clip in 360 degrees. The chosen song was "On The Way to The Stars" from the band's most recent studio album, "2012 Light Years From Home".
Filmed at Guarita Park in the paradise Torres Beach, Rio Grande do Sul state, "On The Way to The Stars" video clip allows the viewer to interact and drive the camera around and still focus on a particular musician, besides being able to count on the system approach. All this with just the click of the mouse.
According to Eloy Fritsch, keyboardist of the band, this video format is a big feature and just a few artists in the world explored it until now.
"Except for Red Hot Chili Peppers and Capital Inicial, I don't remember other rock band that had released a video clip with this format", declares the musician. "But we don't want that the "On The Way to The Stars" video clip be considered only by its innovative technological features, the most important is the music, the lyrics and positive energy. Incidentally, the idyllic setting of Guarita Park which brings the sea on one side and on the other the rocks, has a very strong connection to nature conservation message that Apocalypse has always brought throughout its discography. "
Produced and directed by Moving Studios and financed by the project "Financiarte" from the City Hall of Caxias do Sul/RS, the complete interactive 360º version of the "On The Way to The Stars" video clip was launched only on the band's official website - https://www.apocalypseband.com. A non-interactive version of the video is available on the band's official Youtube channel
