WRONG: Now signed to Relapse Records + Announce US tour dates
June 18, 2015
Relapse Records is proud to announce the signing of Miami, FL noise rock quartet WRONG. Formed in 2014 from the ashes of Capsule, WRONG (Eric Hernandez - Guitar/Vocals, Brian Hernandez - Drums, Andres Ascanio - Bass, Ryan Haft - Guitars) released their debut EP Stop Giving last October via Robotic Empire and feature former members of Torche and Kylesa amongst their ranks.
The band hit the road in the spring with fellow Relapsers Torche and Nothing and quickly caught the label's attention with their captivating and unrelenting live show. Now WRONG is preparing another run of US dates with House of Lightning (featuring members of Floor, Dove and Cavity) set to kick off June 19th in Orlando, FL. A complete listing of dates is available below.
WRONG will enter the studio August 18th, at the recently relocated PineCrust studios (Torche) in Gainesville, FL, to put the finishing touches on their debut full-length, which will see it's release next year via Relapse. WRONG's debut EP can be streamed in full HERE. Additionally, vocalist/guitarist Eric Hernandez commented on the signing:
"We have way too much fun. We all grew up together listening to the same music, playing in the same bands, talking all the same shit, etc.. So when we decided lets just get together and play what we've always wanted to play, it's just fun. We really like what we do. All of sudden we're hitting the road for a second time in late June 2015, and it's with our boys House of Lightning.
Relapse has been around almost as long as we've been into music. Not just putting out the some of the most extreme riffs out there, but working with some of the best bands doing it then, and right now. In other words, it feels right going with Relapse for our first LP. They get what we like to do, so we're going to keep doing it. After all, it's damn good fun."
