Gentrification exists since the end of 2008 when Jens Bargmann (git) and Michael Gückel (dr)founded the band in Berlin, Germany. The song writing began and a style mix between Death,Thrash, and Metal Core elements was created.

In 2010 Lena Winkel joined the band, whose versatile voice brought the songs to a new level. Endof 2010 Jens Bargman left the band and two new guitarists joined: Mark Hoffmann and RickZander. Then bassist Maik Höing completed the line up. 2013 Robert Schenk joined the band as
second guitarrist and replaced Mark Hoffmann.

End of 2011 Gentrification recorded 5 songs for the EP "Part of the Process", which is availablesince June 2012.

2013 the band began recording the debut Album "DEVIANCE" which was released in Dec. 2013 asdigital download and as a limited CD version in January 2014. Currently the band is preparing liveconcerts and a music video shoot.
