Indiana hard rock band on the verge, Downstait, has been forced to cancel the first three dates of its headlining tour with Viasava due to illness. The group has issued the following statement regarding the health of bassist/vocalist, Sean Arata:
"It is with great regret that we have to pull out of the Shreveport, LA (11-23), Houma, LA (11-24), and Houston, TX (11-25) shows. Sean is currently running a fever of 103. This proves to be a particularly huge problem for us as we are currently traveling and sleeping in a Toyota Sequoia, so we'd all undoubtedly end up sick as well. Our live show is very important to us and Sean plays a very large part, vocally, to the band's live sound. We'd hate for anybody to feel cheated at a Downstait show by an inadequate performance. We hope to make it up to everybody planning to see Downstait at these shows very soon and we apologize for any inconveniences this has caused."
Fans should stay tuned to the band's official Facebook page: https://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?e=001GTjdMUubvkmxKMYPPnXeJVuarUlamOzdbqtoFgz9L3xX2FsRdkNChjURyoq2t5hBiJE5M0_rfGhcnfoO34VZjprOzA0NJ-uyCHPjSuBHl-4MltnRFaYEpBlhuLcLdg3a for updated information.
Downstait is touring in anticipation of the upcoming single, "Bad Motherf*cker," which will premiere in the coming weeks, with the band's second full-length record set to release early 2013 on SMR Records.
Since its inception in 2002, Downstait has made a name for itself performing theme songs for several WWE Superstars, while also being featured on MTV and ESPN programming. The band has sold more than 5,000 records in DIY fashion, sharing the stage and touring with acclaimed acts like Rev Theory, Drowning Pool, Pop Evil, Queensrÿche, Saliva, Skid Row, 10 Years and more.
