Most of you will probably be aware of the name ILL NINO, but I suppose that Nu Metal is not one of your favorite Metal genres (for you that believe that Nu Metal IS a Metal genre). The fact is that the time has come for you to get to know this band, since these guys keep releasing albums that kick some major ass and it seems that there is nothing that can block their river of inspiration.

The Nu metallers have released incredible albums like the 2005 One Nation Underground, the 2001 Revolution Revolucion amon others. Their talent was visible from their very first release (Revolution Revolucion and the Metal scene was able to witness the band's incredible combination of Nu Metal along with many Latino style elements.

For one more time, Cristian Machado kicks ass with his incredible vocals that combine brutal screams with melodic singing. In my opinion, this guy is one of the best singers in the Nu Metal scene. Anyway, ILL NINO continue from where they stopped with their previous album and offer an album full of nice riffing, Latin beats and nice melodies. Enigma also contains Nu Metal's necessary catchy choruses, that will definitely make you sing the lyrics along.

Their music may remind you of bands like MUDVAYNE, SOULFLY, DROWNING POOL and SPINESHANK, but despite the similarities, the band has kept its distinctive sound throughout its career and has managed to create a devoted fan base that helped them stay alive even after the fall of the Nu Metal trend. There are a few bands that are still playing quality Nu Metal and ILL NINO are definitely one of them. I have listened to the album several times and I will listen to it again for many more times. If you are into the Nu Metal sound and still don't know this band, then you'd better hurry and check them out. You also have to listen to their The Undercover Sessions EP, which contains covers of artists like FAITH NO MORE, NIRVANA and PETER GABRIEL.
