Wormlight - Wrath of the Wilds album cover

Finally after three years since the last EP, the second in the career of the Swedish band WORMLIGHT, we can bring to light the full-length "Wrath of the Wilds" with its nine tracks of this new harvest of Black Metal. First of all, we can see that the main components of this nine-track album is that the shortest song extends for five minutes and 22 seconds, which allows the band to go to establish deeper connections with their music. The title track, Wrath of the Wilds, features some Middle Eastern sounds on the highest strings, keeping the traditional Black Metal tones behind the dark lines for the album and lengthening in an intermediate time. It is interesting how the speed increases somewhat when the "Reptilian King" begins, following some melodic structure in the synchronization between each of the members of the band. The presentation of the Vittramark does not settle down much longer, as Tiamat Invictuz's sinister and malevolent voice builds the dark and unforgiving aura as the track progresses, along with a well-implemented structure with the tremolo touch playing along with the percussion, everything works brilliantly here and the atmosphere generated in some moments confronted the drier side of the follow.

"The Ghostlight's Dance "begins with a Heavy Metal initiation that brings a lot of influence from the New Wave of British Heavy Metal standards. However, this changes seconds later, when WORMLIGHT transmutes the song into a piece of Blackened Death Metal that really transpires the diversity and malicious qualities of the composition. A similar method would happen even more in the track Cry of the Nameless, which also features a bit of blast-beat and technical fretwork. "On Tattered Wings" with pianos of Renaissance inspiration, the pianos bring a little more light to WORMLIGHT's attention to multiplicity, quietly executing a symphonic approach, exhibiting at the same time the obscure and opaque characteristics of his style in a masterful way. This is a very interesting book for Black Lion Records because it presents a band with very raw, clean and with a melodious space that brings unique characteristics to the work.

I really like how everything progresses until "Cry OF Thy Nameless" and the atmosphere created is dense enough not to let anyone escape, the guitars together are contagious. An interesting factor is the blend and styles within the same track, if you realize that we are talking about a band of Black Metal then we see here that the style undergoes changes at the moment, considering that new nuances of different styles are being added slowly here , or would it be the other way around? A good question regarding the changes in the metal scene going from Thrash to Black Metal. WORMLIGHT has created some great songs on the album and there are many great additions to get you going. A special highlight is the seventh track with "Nightmare" The melancholic but powerful introduction adds a lot of atmosphere and atmosphere and in accompaniment to the guitars we observe a dense and corpulent line emerge, this really leaves a strong impact as a result, especially when the fleshy vocals are added also.

"Feast Of The Mountain Kin" ends the album and the conclusion is very positive although I do not find anything innovative I can say that this release has good reasons to be in their next auditions.
