In-Defilade - Elude album cover

There are moments when we all think about is how many bands love to follow models and not their own conscience, but to deny what we think, a band comes to put your ideas down to the ground. So we can say that the North American trio IN-DEFILADE comes to try our conceptions with "Elude", their second album. It's a spitting fire form of Black/Death Metal different from what we all heard before. It's violent as MORBID ANGEL used to be on "Covenant" times, technical and brutal as NILE, and blackened as BEHEMOTH. It's brutal and aggressive in a way you barely can imagine, but the quality of the band is really amazing. Everything is sounding great, with fine musical arrangements. It's extreme, but it's excellent! The production follows the same level of the musical work of the band: brutal and aggressive in a way, but with a great level of clarity, what results in a almost perfect sound quality, where you can understand what they play perfectly, but ways with brutal instrumental tunes. Be prepared for the chaotic assault to your mind!

With the guitar solos provided by the special guest Dallas Toler-Wade, and some vocals done by Neska, the eleven songs of "Elude" form a maelstrom of fury and chaos that it's hard to resist. The massive brutality of "Will to Survive" (what great guitars can be heard here), the excellent tempo changes of "Fearing the Worst" (bass guitar and drums are creating a solid and technical rhythmic basis here), the venomous bitterness the fills the musical arrangements of "Apparent Adversary", the oppressive and charming slow parts of "Drown the Child", the slashing speed of the guitars on "Guilty" (along with fine harsh vocals), the technical insight that guides the slow tempos of "Infecting the Ranks" (another fine work from the vocals), the awesome technical parts of "The Collapse", and the excellent fast tempos of "Women and Children First" can be named as their finest moments in an album without best moments, because all the moments are excellent moments (sorry for the repetition, but it's the best way to describe what can be heard here).

On "Elude", the musical brutality reigns along with a fine good taste insight. Buy it, and drown in chaos, because it is what IN-DEFILADE is here for!
