Metal maniacs, rejoice! I'm proud to present to you: ANCIENT EMPIRE; signed via Stormspell Records, hailing from the United States of America - performing Heavy Metal, on their 3^rd album entitled: "The Tower" (released November 11^th, 2017).

The quintet in question have 2 albums behind them; I'm introduced to their 3^rd album entitled "The Tower". Arranging a constructively developed distinction of hard-hitting Heavy Metal intricacies; the quartet ANCIENT EMPIRE deliver a solid slab of savagely sinister aesthetics, in which have organic substances of blisteringly thunderous establishments. 9 tracks ranging at around 52:81; the band open up with the epic titular track, providing rhythmic riffs and solos - as well as pulverizing blasting that's all round relentlessly stimulating, in which generates a groovy boost of energetic excitement. "Endless Curse" portrays one of the most invigorating grooves that's just composed with perfection in mind, it's a proficiently executed formula of chugging malice and menacing components of domination and diligence. "View From Up Here" supplies more gritty melodies which manifests with a grandiose of monumental performances, all sounds stellar so far.

Consisting of consistent complexity from dextrous simultaneous performer Joe Liszt who efficiently conveys on the vocals/guitars/bass, the multitasker sufficiently contributes a rigorous balance of prominently demonstrated orchestrations – especially in the song "In The Land Of The Damned". The soloist does a phenomenal job of implementing those extremely catchy elements which motivates the listener, compiling fascinatingly ripping salubriousness tenfold. Steve Pelletier on drums has an equally diligent process of massive blast beating prowess, in which pumps with excessive force and crunchiness. "The Battle Of Stirling Bridge" represents a more subtle approach of glorious songwriting attributions, opening up with ear-splitting chugging riffs and fist-pounding solos with an elegant singsong chorus section that's just profusely splendid - one of the highlights of the record for sure.

"Darker Side Of Midnight" is another memorable track with concrete craftsmanship which is filled with pure Heavy Metal grit and adequately professional intrigues that flourish with raspy mid-ranged vocalizations, and chunky instrumental dominance. "Yesterday's Hero" starts off with a tinge of a thrashing, power metal melodics, with battle hardened tactics in the sound production while balanced with that classic feel embodied with flamboyant determination. "Dawn Of Forever" is the first of the 2 longest songs on the record at 7:05, its acoustic opening showcases the more soulful side of the vocals until a rampaging riff explodes onto the scene like a battering ram frolicking towards the distance. The 2^nd longest song "The Last Sunset" at 7:47 overall concludes the record, being the more atmospheric and builds tension after a stern yet hasty paced string picked cord, which implodes with a few dynamically intersected harmonies that's just all round excelling.

ANCIENT EMPIRE far exceeded my original expectations and I was very surprised with "The Tower", it was one of the most rewarding records I had the pleasure to listen to and review this year – all Metal maniacs will relish this gem, stop reading and just check it out for yourself!
