Last Act Of Defiance
Sick Of It All

Hailing from New York, Hardcore quartet SICK OF IT ALL have brought forward their latest instalment to their ever growing discography and it is out today.
SICK OF IT ALL formed in the year of 1986 in the town of Queens and they released their first self-titled EP. Their success has been growing for over twenty years and it's due to them keeping old school New York Hardcore alive and kicking.
The opening track "Sound The Alarm" provides the perfect wake up call wanting an aggressive wake up call. As the album progresses I am hearing some of crucial elements of old school New York Hardcore Metal; fast paced guitar riffs, angry vocals and melodies that make you just want to go crazy wherever you happen to be. The album also provides a lot of aggression and anger; a great way to vent out any built up stress. Another element I admire is the short tracks that allow you just enough time to experience New York Hardcore.
The tracks that demonstrate this logic very well are "Act Your Rage", "Road Less Travelled" and "Beltway Getaway"; I can imagine these being welcomed by the Hardcore community with open arms at live shows. I also think that these tracks are possibly demonstrating the most aggression that Hardcore is most well known for.
The closing belter "DNC" provides the Hardcore listener one last chance to headbang, mosh or simply just listen before marking the end of the album.
As much as this album had it great qualities, it didn't really hold my attention since Hardcore isn't my cup of tea. It will however be an amazing feat for fans of the band and the genre Hardcore.
