From The Ashes

ETERNAL STORM is a Melodic Death Metal with an extreme passion out of Madrid, Spain. Earlier on the band was formed under the moniker of DEATH VALLEY, during mid-2009 changed to ETERNAL STORM. At around the mid-year the band released its debut EP named "From the Ashes".
Starting up with a rather soothing climate, "Unfading Memories" turned out to be quite a decent treat, same tuneful ecstasy heralded with the ending track, "Distance". On the other hand, the title track came out with guns blazing, fast paced onslaught, mega loads of power with melodic riffery, energy pouring out while contorting a great soloing demonstration. "The Dream" is more of the IN FLAMES style with early Gothenburg melodious direction, yet with a screechy type CHILDREN OF BODOMish vocal pattern, quite impressive. "A Picture In The Dark" is an assorted number, based on a build-up in its intensity, a heavy dosage of harmonious Death Metal. Touching the apocalyptic nature of Black Metal I was nearly incinerated by "Eternity Forgotten (Follow The Cycle)". Mixing it up, extremity and melody, "Grey Skies", encasing an amazing vocal line and diverse musical aspects that proved that there is something here.
ETERNAL STORM's debut EP is more than just a promise; it has its freshness, and its tribute to the older kind of Melodic Death Metal, yet with a modern vigor. It is also embroiled with other ingredients of extreme Metal, but only as appetizers to lure you in. Check these guys out; it is worth to follow them.
