Axxis - ReDISCOver (ed) album cover

AXXIS is a band that has been around for a while. They started out in 1988 and they have brought out 14 albums and 1 DVD, and now they're bringing their 15th album "reDISCOver (ed)", through Phonotraxx Publications. Guess with that album they rediscovered disco and covered.

To be honest I'm not a big fan of covers, exceptions are always there, but most of the time I just dislike covers very much. Even when I do bump accidently into another cover I dislike, I'm just skipping it or even better remove it from my playlist. Not sure where I was with my brain when I picked "reDISCOver (ed)" by AXXIS. Don't get me wrong, I love AXXIS and the sound they are standing for while playing their own songs, but in my eyes, they better just kept talking about the songs they used to like instead of covering them for real.

The sad part of the album "reDISCOver (ed)"  is that you can't just skip the cover and move on with what I do like to listen to, since "reDISCOver (ed)" by AXXIS is one big cover party. Covers from songs that I wasn't very much into back then either and it hurts me to say that they didn't change much about that, also because I still like some of the originals better than their cover versions of them.

Sigh, sorry, I don't want to offend anyone, in special because I do realize that putting down a cover can be sometimes much harder than writing own new songs, but I did experience this album as quite a struggle to make it through one single spin, had to control myself the entire time so I would not to skip all the songs and turn the album off. This album is not meant for my repeat button and neither is "reDISCOver (ed)" meant for my collection, unlike the former albums by AXXIS
