VON JUSTICE: Lyric video for "Bret Hart."
May 29, 2017
Wrestling-themed crossover outfit VON JUSTICE have published a lyric video for the single "Bret Hart" and scheduled August 18th, 2017 as the release date of their debut EP, which will share the same name as the single.
Vocalist E. Von Justice comments on the song: "Wrestling is the main concept of what we do. All lyrics are about the 'squared circle' and if we're doing it this way, then we had to have a song about the best pro-wrestler ever, Bret Hart. Fuck Ric Flair and fuck Hulk Hogan."
On the instrumental side of the project, Von Justice's frontman explains: "All our songs are covers of punk classics and are recorded live. That's the reason why it sounds so raw. We just practiced it a couple of times and recorded it straightforward in one take. For the 'Bret Hart' track we recorded this cover from Brazil's Ratos de Porao. The original song is titled 'Mad Society' and is a fucking punch in the face. A punch that is as hard as the one Vince McMahon took from Bret Hart on the night of the Montreal screwjob."
Joined by drummer El Gordo and guitarist El Magro, E. Von Justice also commented on the reason behind the wrestling concept: "Some bands sing about Lord Of The Rings and we sing about wrestling. Simple as that."
The EP "Bret Hart" will also contain another two tracks titled "Ric Flair Is A Bloody Wanker" and "I Saw Hogan With Jimmy Hart". Follow the band at this location:
