HATCHET: Announces New Tour Dates with FLOTSAM AND JETSAM and HELSTAR
October 11, 2016
Fresh off their tour with Act of Defiance, Bay Area thrashers Hatchet will take their metal attack back on the road starting November 5. This next U.S. run will see the band supporting Flotsam and Jetsam & Helstar.
Says guitarist Clayton Cagle:
"We're beyond excited to close out 2016 touring over a month with our heroes in FLOTSAM AND JETSAM. Their self-titled record is one of my favorite releases this year; being able to hear those new cuts (along with the thrash classics) will be a treat every night. Coupling that magic with underground power metal legends HELSTAR really makes for a unique and heavy package.
HATCHET can't wait to get out and represent the new generation of Thrash on this run - you can bet we'll be up there bringing the violence and hurting ourselves night after bloody night!
Keep an eye out for a date in your city - we'll be seeing you VERY SOON!"

"HATCHET are one of the best examples of thrash excellence around today. This is no-frills, classic thrash metal, right down to the album cover. Fear Beyond Lunacy has 10 songs and clocks in around 45 minutes. If you need your thrash fix, and I know I do, then you can't go wrong with Fear Beyond Lunacy. In my opinion, it is easily the band's best work to date. There isn't a bad song on the entire album."
-KNAC
"Fear Beyond Lunacy is explosive in terms of musicianship and production, and modern thrash fans will rejoice upon first listen, while old school fans will appreciate the Bay Area thrash worship within every second of the record... intense and menacing... slays most of the competition with ease."
-Outburn Magazine
"9/10... bigger, badder, and better than they have ever sounded." -Metal Observer
"Hatchet sound as fresh as ever with 45 minutes of neck-wrecking fury." -Loudwire

After self-releasing two demos, HATCHET's debut album, Awaiting Evil, was released in mid-2008 via Metal Blade Records. The album was well-received by thrash enthusiasts and proved a great beginning for the band. After some line-up changes including guitarist Julz Ramos taking over on vocals, Hatchet released their sophomore effort, Dawn of the End, through The End Records in 2013, and spent over a year on the road with Soilwork, Jeff Loomis, Threat Signal, Black Tide, Affiance, Cellador, Exmortus and Flotsam & Jetsam. With a loyal fanbase, their third album, Fear Beyond Lunacy, was released last October and the band continues to promote themselves with consistent roadwork alongside groups like Metal Church, Doyle, Kobra and the Lotus, Eliminate, Black Fast, Lich King, and Green Death.
