Rudra has been one of the longest surviving Asian Metal bands that has been active for two and a half decades. The band is
often considered as the true pioneer of Vedic Metal that creates a blend of both Extreme Metal and Indian Classical/Carnatic (Folk) music with Sanskrit and English lyrics. The band's compositions have been lauded by both fans and critics over the years and have also been a subject of study by musicologists and music lovers.

The band's eighth album which is set to release in thelater part of the year features a number of renowned guest artists who have collaborated -

1. BrothersKrsna TanandGovind Tanwho play theSitarandTablarespectively have been roped in to contribute for this album. They are trained in Indian Classical instruments and have played hundreds of shows all over and have shared stages with other reputed names.

2.Aishwaryawho part of the band's previous albums Brahmavidya- Primordial-I and Transcendental-I will be returning to make appearance with thiseighth album!

3. DAMARU is a well known Indian percussion group that is marking its presence with this album.

The album is in the finishing stagesandKathirthe band's front man says he's excited to work alongside some of the artists and comments, "This album is something that is going to explore the inner depths of the Mandukya Upanishads, something newer and veryphilosophical''

He also adds that, "The upcoming album is going to be fast and will be slightly different from the previous release."
